Yes, and they are a large part of the work. These buildings get reconfigured often and the record drawings seldom reflect the current partitions or the services above the ceiling. We scan the space, including the plenum where access allows, so the fit-out is designed against what is actually there.

For drone capture it does: the site sits in controlled airspace and a flight needs authorization before it happens. For the building itself, noise exposure can bring construction requirements depending on the use and the location. We check both when we scope the job.

That setbacks, coverage and height do most of the deciding, and the margin is small enough that measured existing conditions matter. We document the house and the lot properly before working out what will fit.
