LiDAR Scanning & Drone Photography FAQs
Questions about our LiDAR scanning, drone photography, and existing-condition documentation services.
Yes. We provide high-accuracy, high-density LiDAR scanning to capture existing conditions for buildings and sites and utilize the resulting point clouds to create accurate drawings and 3D models.
LiDAR scans are used to document existing conditions, verify dimensions, capture complex geometry, support as-built drawings, and improve coordination for remodels, additions, ADUs, and commercial projects. You will be provided with a link to your project’s model which can be shared with sub-contractors and engineers alike. This often saves the need for them to come to site for early estimates.
We utilize high tech LiDAR scanning equipment, combined with drone and site photography, to create the highest accuracy as-built models for your team.
Yes: aerial site documentation, roof and exterior capture, context imagery and site visualization. It is capture for visualization, takeoffs and documentation rather than survey data: where a project needs a boundary or a topographic survey, that comes from a licensed surveyor and we coordinate with them.
Drone photos are especially useful for large properties, multi-building sites, difficult-to-access roofs, hillside lots, and projects where aerial context and site constraints need to be clearly documented.
Deliverables typically include extracted 2D drawings, coordinated 3D models, and aerial imagery that can be integrated directly into our design, documentation, and visualization workflows. The point cloud file itself is a $100 add-on, not part of the standard scan.
